Just yesterday, Yuri Gordeev — ambitious aircraft designer and ladies' man — was one step away from triumph. His plane YUG-1 was poised to be a breakthrough in aviation technology. But today, no one can even see or hear him, and his competitor has shut down his company. You see, Yuri suffered a car crash and became a ghost. Whereas seventh grader Vanya Kuznetsov had always been invisible: the victim of his mother's overprotective nature and an object of mockery by his classmates. He was afraid even to speak to the girl with whom he had long been in love. Yuri has one week to finish his life's work and send his plane into the sky. Vanya is the only one who can see him and can help him to do it.
